Glenn Mumford, PE, CPM, Joins KCA
On July 15th, KCA welcomed Glenn Mumford, PE, CPM, as our new Roadway Department Manager in our Raleigh, NC office.
Glenn has a distinguished career with 31 years of experience focused on roadway design projects throughout North Carolina. Before joining KCA, he spent the initial 29 ½ years of his career as a Roadway Design Engineer for NCDOT, gaining intimate familiarity with all aspects of managing highway design projects of all sizes. Glenn concluded his time at NCDOT with 3 years as the State Roadway Design Engineer. In this capacity, he coordinated with various NCDOT design units and state and federal agencies on a wide range of topics related to highway project development, including making countless design decisions. Glenn managed a unit of more than 100 employees and participated in numerous workgroups tasked with setting policy, improving efficiency, accelerating project delivery, and reducing the size of state government.
In his new role at KCA, Glenn will be responsible for managing roadway design activities that KCA performs in North Carolina, marketing the firm’s qualifications to public and private clients, and securing preconstruction-related work. Glenn will concentrate on quality control reviews and project monitoring to assure work assignments are developed to FHWA, AASHTO, and North Carolina standards.
Glenn graduated from North Carolina State University with his Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering. He is a registered Professional Engineer in North Carolina and Virginia as well as a Certified Public Manager in North Carolina.
Glenn is married to Angie, his wife of 31 years, and has three “adult” children – Ava-Taylor (24 and married), Coleman (21), and Hannah (19). Glenn also has 2 horses, 6 chickens, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 1 fish. He and Angie are currently looking for a farm big enough to gather all of their critters (kids and future grandkids) in one place.
