KCA selected for 16th Street NE Bridge Design for Collier County
KCA was recently selected to provide design services for the 16th Street NE Bridge project for Collier County. The project will be managed from KCA’s Fort Myers office.
The project involves bridge and roadway design for improvements along 16th Street NE from Golden Gate Boulevard W. to Randall Boulevard in Naples, FL. The goal of this project is to provide multi-modal connectivity by constructing a new bridge to span the Golden Gate Main Canal with roadway enhancements, improved emergency response times, mobility and operations, services efficiency, and safety along the corridor. The KCA team will be providing structural, roadway, and drainage design; project development and environment (PD&E) re-evaluations; environmental/permitting; maintenance of traffic (MOT); traffic, signals, and signing and pavement markings (S&PM); lighting and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) design; and public involvement.
The KCA team is comprised of Archaeological Consultants, Inc. (Cultural Resources); David M. Jones Jr. & Associates, Inc. (Landscape Architecture); Johnson Engineering, Inc. (Surveying/Mapping, Subsurface Utility Engineering [SUE], and Utility Coordination); Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc. (Traffic, signals, S&PM); and Tierra South Florida, Inc. (Geotechnical/Contamination).
Leading KCA’s proposed team is Principal-in-Charge, Guillermo Madriz, PE, and Project Manager (PM)/Roadway Design Engineer of Record (EOR) Jesse Gill, PE. Additional support includes Lucio Martinez, PE (Structures Design EOR); Adrienne Wisdom, PE (MOT Design EOR); Brian Rose, PE (Drainage Design EOR); Martin Horwitz (PD&E Re-evaluation); Catie Neal (Environmental/Permitting Lead); and Fathy Abdalla, Ph.D., PE, PTOE (Lighting/ITS Design EOR).
