KCA selected for City of Naples South Golf Drive Complete Streets LAP Project
KCA received good news in October as it was selected for the South Golf Drive Design Local Agency Program (LAP) project for the City of Naples. This win signifies the first-ever KCA design contract win with the City of Naples and adds yet another design project to KCA’s Complete Streets and LAP project resume.
This FDOT District One-funded project involves Complete Streets design improvements along the 0.7-mile corridor of South Golf Drive from Gulf Shore Boulevard North to US 41 in Naples. The project’s goals are to improve pedestrian safety and connectivity in the South Golf Drive corridor as well as improve bicycle safety and connectivity, street image and aesthetics, driveway connections, parking, and roadway lane improvements.
For this successful pursuit, KCA teamed with subconsultants Ardaman and Associates, Inc. (geotechnical); AIM Engineering and Surveying, Inc. (surveying and mapping); Davidson Engineering, Inc. (utility design/coordination); and David M. Jones, Jr. and Associates, Inc. (landscape architecture).
The KCA team is led by Project Manager (PM), Richard Arico, PE, who will manage the overall design of the project and provide both LAP coordination and public involvement support. KCA has been designing dedicated pedestrian and bicycle facilities since 1976. Within the past 15 years, KCA has completed several Complete Streets and more than 30 complete multi-use trails and pedestrian facilities projects.
Congrats to the entire team including Richard Arico, PE; Alfredo Cely, PE, PMP; Adrienne Wisdom, PE; Brian Rose, PE; Jesse Gill, PE; Lucio Martinez, PE; and Ashley Abdel-Hadi. A big thanks to all that helped with the marketing efforts that contributed to this win!
