KCA selected for Lee County Cape Coral and Midpoint Corridor Bridge Painting Project
KCA received excellent news this summer as it was selected for the Cape Coral and Midpoint Corridor Bridge Painting project for Lee County.
This project involves development of plans and specifications for the coating of the structural elements of the Cape Coral and Veterans Memorial Parkway/Colonial Boulevard Corridor Bridges. The scope of work includes addressing the superstructures and substructures of three bridges by detailing the cleaning and coating of concrete surfaces and steel beams/girders in the project corridors.
The KCA team is led by Project Manager (PM), David Thompson, PE, and Project Director, Paul Wingard, PE, LEED AP, CGC. KCA’s Structures Department has completed hundreds of bridge and structures reconstruction and rehabilitation design projects, many of which have included bridge coating systems.
For this successful pursuit, KCA teamed with subconsultant KTA-Tator, Inc., for their capabilities in evaluating existing bridge coatings and providing recommendations for new coating systems.
Congrats to the entire team including David Thompson, PE; Paul Wingard, PE, LEED AP, CGC; Kip Laskaris, PE; Adrienne Wisdom, PE; Lucio Martinez, PE; Scott Betz, PE, CBI; Patrick Mulhearn, PE; Alfredo Cely, PE, PMP; and John Johnson, EI. A big thanks to Paola Rivera and all that helped with the marketing efforts that contributed to this win!
