KCA selected for Pinellas County Madonna Boulevard Bridge Replacement project
KCA received excellent news recently that it was selected for the Madonna Boulevard Bridge Replacement Contract for Pinellas County. The win adds yet another local bridge design contract for KCA’s Structures Department.
KCA will be providing structural design services for this bridge replacement that provides sole access to the Monte Cristo community in Tierra Verde. KCA has served the County for the last 36 years, having completed a deck replacement of this very bridge in the early 1990s led by Paul Foley, PE! KCA’s Structures Department has designed numerous bridge replacement projects within neighborhoods recently and is aware of the importance of maintaining access for vehicles and pedestrians.
The KCA team is led by Project Manager, David Thompson, PE, and Structures Design Engineer-of-Record, Austin Black, PE. For this successful pursuit, KCA teamed with subconsultants Archaeological Consultants, Inc.; Cumbey & Fair, Inc.; Diversified Professional Services, Inc.; ECHO UES, Inc.; INTERA, Inc.; and Tierra, Inc.
Congratulations to the team including David Thompson, PE; Austin Black, PE; Deborah Hernandez, PE; Bob Whitman; Curt Sprunger, PE; Fathy Abdalla, Ph.D., PE, PTOE; Nicole Selly; Kellie Loper, PE; Richard Harrison, PE; Guillermo Madriz, PE; and all supporting staff. A big thanks to Elisa Guggino and others providing the marketing efforts that greatly contributed to this win!
