Districtwide Local Government Bridge Inspection

KCA provides bridge inspection services for this 24-month contract. It entails routine inspection (every 2 years) of approximately 355 fixed and 10 movable local government bridges throughout FDOT District Six (Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties). In addition to routine bridge inspections, the project will have initial inspections (structures inspected for the first time when construction is complete), interim inspections (bridges that are load posted or have low condition ratings that require more frequent inspections), annual mechanical/electrical inspections (performed on the movable bridges during the off routine year), underwater inspections on structures in water deeper than 3 feet, and load rating analysis using either LFR or LRFR methods.

All tasks are carried out in compliance with National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS), Florida statutes, and the Manual for Bridge Inspection and Other Structures and Reporting Procedures (Volume I), as well as all other applicable national and state publications covering bridge inspection standards that are enforced during this project period.
