I-275 SB to I-75 NB Deck Replacement and SR 64 at Rye Road Roundabout CEI

KCA was selected for this FDOT District One CEI contract, which encompasses two construction projects (FPID: 436299-1-52-01 and FPID: 196022-5-52-01). The I-275 SB to I-75 NB Bridge Deck Replacement project consists of removal of the existing 7-inch concrete bridge deck and replacing it with an 8.5-inch lightweight concrete bridge deck, concrete traffic railing, coating of existing structural steel (bridge painting), and milling and resurfacing of the approach and departure roadways. The second project (SR 64 at Rye Road) is the construction of a four-lane roundabout at the intersection of Rye Road and future connection of White Eagle Boulevard. The work consists of subgrade, base, asphalt, curb and gutter, traffic separators, drainage, guardrail, signalization, lighting, landscaping, and other miscellaneous construction. Both projects are located in Manatee County. KCA’s primary role in providing CEI services is to proactively administer the contract, inspect the Contractor’s work, and monitor and document compliance with contract documents to provide FDOT a high-quality product within the established time and budget.
