KCA selected to design Hillsborough County’s South Coast Greenway Trail
KCA was recently awarded a contract to perform design services for the South Coast Greenway Trail – Big Bend Road Pedestrian Overpass project for Hillsborough County. The win adds to KCA’s already impressive shared-use trail/pedestrian bridge project experience resume.
The scope of this project consists of providing a pedestrian bridge overpass and shared-use trail over Big Bend Road between Waterset Boulevard and Covington Garden Drive in Hillsborough County.
The KCA team was selected for its understanding of and experience with designing similar shared-use trail and pedestrian bridges. KCA has completed more than 30 shared-use trail and pedestrian bridge projects completed in the last 10 years alone.
The KCA team comprises of American Government Services Corp. (appraisal and title searches); AREHNA Engineering, Inc. (geotechnical and testing); ECHO UES, Inc. (surveying and mapping, subsurface utility engineering [SUE], and utility coordination); HKS, Inc. (architectural services); Independence Acquisition & Appraisal, LLC (right-of-way acquisition); and Northwest Surveying, Inc. (surveying and mapping).
Leading KCA’s proposed team is Project Manager (PM) and MOT Design Engineer-of-Record (EOR), Deborah Hernandez, PE. She will be supported by Deputy PM, Jason LaBarbera, PE, who will serve as Structures EOR.
Congratulations to the pursuit team including Deborah Hernandez, PE; Jason LaBarbera, PE; Craig Singer, EI; Nicole Selly; and Tara Spieler, PE. A big thanks to all that helped with the preparation of the letter of response and presentation and the marketing efforts that contributed to this win!
