Owner: FDOT District Seven
KCA was selected by FDOT District Seven for the SR 50 from Lockhart Road to Remington Road project. The project involves an existing four-lane divided rural principal arterial located in Hernando County, which will be widened to a six-lane divided with raised median, 12-foot lanes, 8-foot shoulders, bike lanes on the paved outside shoulders, and sidewalks on both sides. The KCA team will be providing roadway design, traffic control, structures, lighting, signals/S&PM, drainage and permitting, environmental, public involvement, utility coordination/SUE, right-of-way surveying/mapping, and archaeological services. Congrats to the entire project team including Erin Lawson, PE, Project Manager (her first win as Project Manager); Paul Staes, Deputy Project Manager; Todd Gardina, PE, Lead Roadway; Curt Sprunger, PE, Lead Drainage; Fathy Abdalla, Ph.D., PE, PTOE, Traffic/Lighting; and several others from KCA departments. A big thanks to all that helped with the preparation of this proposal and the marketing efforts that contributed to this win!
