KCA was selected by FDOT District Three for the Local Government Bridge Inspection and Scour Analysis Services contract!
On June 4, KCA received good news after being selected for the Local Government Bridge Inspection and Scour Analysis Services contract for FDOT District Three. This win signifies the first-ever local government bridge inspection contract win for KCA in District Three and solidifies our standing as a leader in the Florida bridge inspection industry.
KCA and our subconsultants will provide topside and underwater bridge inspection, load rating analysis, and scour analysis services for approximately 550 fixed local government bridges throughout the western region of FDOT District Three, which includes Escambia, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Walton, and Washington Counties. The inspected structures will include simple and continuous span concrete, timber and steel structures, fracture critical girder and truss structures. KCA will also provide highly detailed comprehensive maintenance reports in the BrM system for all inspections in this local government-owned inventory.
All tasks will be carried out in compliance with National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) and Florida statutes.
The KCA team is led by Project Manager (PM) Patrick O’Grady, CBI, who has 31 years of experience in bridge and ancillary inspection. He has served as PM on nearly 50 FDOT projects consisting of state and local government bridge and ancillary inspections as well as asset maintenance projects consisting of both bridges and ancillary structures.
Congrats to the entire team including Patrick O’Grady, CBI; Ken Reinhold, CBI; Jim Kelley, CBI; Tom LoCicero, PE, CBI; and the entire KCA Bridge Inspection Department, whose hard work and excellent performance on KCA’s current District Three Districtwide Ancillary contract paved the way for this win! Also, a big thanks to the Marketing Department for all their help with the preparation of this proposal and the marketing efforts that contributed to this win!
