As a major subconsultant responsible for roadway and structures design, KCA was selected by FDOT District Seven for the US 41 at CSX Grade Separation project, which involves improving the LOS on US 41 by providing grade separation at the CSX railroad crossing and Causeway Blvd. intersection. US 41/SR 45 and SR 676/Causeway Boulevard are vital arterial highways that serve the City of Tampa located in Hillsborough County. This project will be developed using the SWAT process, which allows design tasks such as survey, geotechnical investigations, concept plans, wetland determinations, pond siting, noise analysis, and others to be performed concurrent with PD&E tasks.
Michael Campo, PE, is serving as Deputy PM, and KCA is providing roadway design, signalization, MOT, S&PM, structures design, and drainage design services for this project.
