North Ridge Trail Rd. PD&E and Design
KCA has been tasked with designing the new North Ridge Trail Road and overpass over I-4 in Polk County. The scope includes design of new roadway alignment crossing I-4 with a new overpass and includes both PD&E, design, permitting services, and approvals from FDOT District One, Office of Environmental Management (OEM), and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) on the alignment study. Minimizing the environmental and right-of-way (R/W) impacts will be among the primary design challenges for the new alignment in addition to coordinating with FDOT on their constraints for the overpass crossing I-4.
The KCA team will be led from our Tampa office by PM, Michael Campo, PE. He has 20 years of experience and brings an exceptional level of knowledge in complex project management, FDOT guidelines, and transportation solutions on the state, county, and local levels. His expertise in transportation planning, engineering, and design involves a broad array of projects including PD&E studies, interstate widening, arterial highway reconstruction, and resurfacing, restoration, and rehabilitation (RRR) projects. Mr. Campo will be supported by Deputy PM, Richard Harrison, PE, who has 43 years of design experience including all geometric aspects of interstate highways and interchanges, major/minor highway widening, intersections, and minor structures, stormwater, erosion control, temporary traffic control, signing and pavement markings (S&PM), and cost estimating.
