NW Cary Parkway over Black Creek and Black Creek Greenway-Bridge Rehabilitation

This project consisted of rehabilitation of a bridge in need of repairs to place this Town structure onto the State maintenance system. KCA provided turn-key services for this project, managing assessment, plans development, and construction management. Structures design issues included providing fixity to obsolete bearings that had allowed “walking” of the superstructure, approach settlement, slope erosion, scour, hydraulic drainage remediation, and routine maintenance. Work also included Work Zone Traffic Control Plans with off-site detour, utility coordination, Greenway coordination, and public involvement. The bridge and Greenway are adjacent to North Cary Park.
